AS2 Task Four - Be able to produce a television ident to a brief

Throughout this blog I have been mainly focussing idents and my ideas in order to create an ident, I have now finally came to a final answer on what my final ident will be.

As you can see with my final ident, I have chosen the one where letters come flying in from different directions. Whilst I was planning out my ideas I wanted to make sure that the ideas that I come up with, I wanted to make sure they was targeted towards the right audience as well as thinking am I able to create this ident. When analysing the other two idents I thought to myself that that i wont be able to achieve it. Once I have finished storyboarding my idea I then went ahead and created the blobs and letters for the ident, as well as this I had to create a background for the ident. This basically consisted of A3 blue paper and cut out random shapes from orange card to stick on to the paper. Once this was then I started adding the letters on to the paper taking pictures frame by frame ever so slowly so that I can get the best look for the final product. Once all pictures were taken I then went on to the editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro), added everything in, cut the amount of time each frame was on show for and added audio over the top. This then allowed me to render the video out and upload it to youtube.

The good thing about my ident is that it only involves letters and the blobs, this mean that the ident can be changed at anytime if it comes to a special even or depending on what season we are in.

Idea 1:
Here is my first idea for the cbeebies television ident, as you can see in the pictures there is a theme which is swimming. It will start of by all of the letters cheering in a line getting ready to start their swimming race. It will then show the letters moving with additional features such as water droplets coming towards the camera to give it a different effect on how people see the ident. I thought that this ident was suitable for cbeebies cos it promotes healthy living as well as the letters having a fun time racing in the pool. Seeing as this ident is action packed and involves a lot of moving, I think that it would easily grab the audience's attention, if at anytime this was to be shown on TV I would like to see it on during the summer because a lot of people tend to go outdoors and use the swimming pool during the summer.

Idea 2: 
Up next we have my second idea, this idea basically shows a basic idea of letters moving in different directions, very basic but it will look good. At the end of this ident all the letters will link up and the cbeebies blog will dance. Seeing as this is basic, it makes it easier to change such as by adding things in due to seasons or special events like christmas.

Here we have my final idea, this is one of the complex ones to do. It is a child's favourite called hide and seak, it will start off the two letters facing one another, then one of the leteers will go to hide whilst the other counts, because the other letter is hiding skills are not good, the letter turns around and sees him straight away. Then the cbeebies logo will appear at the end to show that it is the end of the ident.

AS2 Task One – Ideas Generation

As my final idea I decided to go with a not too complicated one but it is doable, this ident that I have decided to go with the moving letters and at the end has he dancing blobs in order to show two moving things at once.
